Word of the Day
Today’s word: flexuous.
Thomas Hardy uses the word twice in The Mayor of Casterbridge: once as flexuous, and another time as flexuousness. What a word — it melts like chocolate under the tongue, and feels almost immoral to speak aloud.
Flexuous: full of bends or curves; sinuous.
That’s a more seductive definition than this: Bending alternately in opposite directions; zigzagged.
