Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures
From a MEX interview with Ken Blakeslee of WebMobility Ventures:
I often am in situations where I know the info I need is available, I just can’t get it [on the mobile device] – frustrating. But it keeps the voice traffic up! – “hi, are you near the computer right now? Great, can you check on the bla, bla, bla…?”
Isn’t it pathetic that this is still true, two years later?

Problem Solved - buy an iPhone!
Your post indicates to me that you relate to the need and when an easy to use, affordably available, proposition is presented, that you and many others will just obtain it.
To get some insights into how this is going to become possible for human beings like you and I in the very near future, come to the MEX sessions next week. Or for a chance to learn and effect the outcome, sit in on the workshop in a few weeks time on this very topic (”Are iPhone, Android, Open Source and other initiatives the next enabling steps toward Web Centric Mobility?”).

I do like the iPhone (I’m embarrassed to admit how many iPod Touches there are in my house), and my colleague Tim Bajarin keeps telling me how great it is for email, but…

Actually, that “heartfelt plea” was the direct trigger for the post in which I quoted you.
I am in fact looking forward to meeting you next week at MEX!
